1、故宫博物院
故宫博物院是在明、清两代皇宫及其收藏的基础上建立起来的中国综合性博物馆。其位于北京市中心，前通天安门，后倚景山，东近王府井街市，西临中南海。1961年，经国务院批准，故宫被定为全国第一批重点文物保护单位。
1987年，故宫被联合国教科文组织列入“世界文化遗产”名录。依照中国古代星象学说，紫微垣（即北极星）位于中天，乃天帝所居，天人对应，是以皇帝的居所又称紫禁城。
2、八达岭长城
八达岭长城座落于北京市延庆区境内，蜿蜒腾跃于燕山山脉的崇山峻岭，是万里长城千百座名关险隘中，历史最为悠久、文化最为丰富、建筑最为宏伟、景色最为壮观、名声最为远大、保存最为完整的一段。它是万里长城的杰出代表，明代长城中最为精华的地段。

3、天安门广场

5、颐和园
颐和园是中国现存规模最大、保存最完整的皇家园林，中国四大名园（另三座为承德避暑山庄、苏州拙政园、苏州留园）之一。位于北京市海淀区，距北京城区十五公里，占地约二百九十公顷。
利用昆明湖、万寿山为基址，以杭州西湖风景为蓝本，汲取江南园林的某些设计手法和意境而建成的一座大型天然山水园，也是保存得最完整的一座皇家行宫御苑，被誉为皇家园林博物馆。

在北京，我们还去了八达岭长城，那里非常壮观，有许许多多的中外朋友都从遥远的家乡特地赶来登长城，有句话说得好“不到长城非好汉”。如今，我也算是一条好汉了。
万里长城是我国非常著名的名胜古迹之一，非常壮观，长城就像一条巨龙横卧在山中，长城真像是一条绵延万里的长龙，摇摇欲坠。像一条飞龙在山间、峡谷之间穿梭，一眼望去，都看不到尽头。清朝著名诗人沈用济写了一首关于八岭的诗：登八达岭
沈用济[清]策马出居庸，盘回上碧峰。坐窥京邑尽，行绕塞环重。夕照沉千帐，寒声折万松。回瞻陵寝地，云气总成龙。
这首诗写得很好，还有许多有关描写万里长城的诗词，我推荐大家有时间去读一读。万里长城是在我国北方辽阔土地上，东西横亘着一道绵绵起伏、气势雄伟，长达一万多里的长墙，这真是人间的美景啊!

我本来是想爬上长城的，但不巧的是下起大雨来了，我们只好坐滑车上山了。乘上滑车，就依着长城脚慢吞吞地向上行驶，仿佛是一条穿梭在森林中的巨蜥，掠过一个个路障向前行进。
走下滑车，我们已经站在长城的峰火台口，由于游览人太多，我拼命地往上挤。我挤出洞口向四周眺望，长城像一条巨龙横卧在连绵起伏的群山上，真是雄伟啊!据介绍城墙的基部全部用花岗岩条石筑成，城墙高8.5米(平均高度为7.8米)，下宽为6.5米，上宽是5.7米，可以五马并行。城上两旁有矮墙，名叫宇墙，外侧的墙又叫堞墙，高1.7米，上面有垛口，是巡逻放哨了望用的。垛口下面为射击孔，是射箭用的。内侧宇墙，高1米。在城墙内则，每隔一段距离有券门，门内有石阶可以登城。城上每隔300-500米，就有一处城台。听导游介绍，烽火台上如发现敌情，白天燃烟，夜间举火，远处的墩台发现烟火，也立即点燃烟火，逐个相传，能较快地传到指挥机关。这是古代通讯联络方式之一。
